Getting Mr Motivated for charity

TV fitness guru Mr Motivator will be helping to raise heart rates and money when he visits the Hampton Health club this weekend.

He will be taking a fitness masterclass at the local gym on Sunday at 11am to help the centre raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Solihull.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the club in Old Station Road, Hampton-in-Arden, as the workout is described as low impact and suitable for all the family.

The team from the Hampton will also have information about a charity cycle ride in Jamaica they are planning for later this year.

Mr Motivator, whose real name is Derrick Evans, and personal trainers from the gym aim to lead a team of 50 cyclists along Jamaica’s northern shore in October, covering 350 miles in nine days.

'The club has been raising funds for Marie Curie since it opened its doors to the public in 2004.

What the nurses and care staff do for our community touches your heart and we at the club never grow tired of working with their inspirational team.

We are so excited about having Derrick Evans at the club, and performing for our members and community in our activity studio.

I first meet Mr Motivator at a nutrition conference when I was 19, his personality filled the room then and I promise everyone that makes Sunday's event that he is totally unchanged.

They will be talking about their experience for months to come.'
