MEET OUR YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Julie Reading
Julie brings over 20 years of teaching experience and is a calming presence within The Hampton Team.
Julie has been practising yoga for over 25 years and, after gaining her British Wheel of Yoga Diploma, has been teaching for the past 20 years.
Before retiring, she enjoyed careers as both a primary school teacher and an air stewardess after graduating from Warwick University. Now, having more time allows her to devote herself to her passion of yoga and feels privileged to share its many benefits with others.
Julie’s classes focus mainly on Hatha Yoga, a gentle, steady style of practice that encourages you to move with awareness rather than hurry from one pose to the next. As an attendee, you will spend time holding postures (asanas) for several breaths, helping to develop balance, strength, flexibility and good alignment.
Breath-work (pranayama) is also an important part of every one of Julie’s classes. Learning to work with the breath can calm the nervous system, quieten the mind and help you feel more relaxed both on and off the mat.
